Jesús Padilla Zenteno, president of the Employers' Confederation of the Mexican Republic in Mexico City (Coparmex-CDMX), indicated that the challenge of security and economic growth are essential for the development of the business sector in 2020.
He added that the private initiative has placed surveillance cameras on their trucks to stop the theft of merchandise that strongly impacts the formal economy.
He said that this security policy requires keeping open the lines of work and public-private inter-institutional coordination, improving road infrastructure and promoting greater road investments between authorities and private initiatives.
On another topic, he said that extortion against Mexican businesses has been the reason for a strong complaint against the authorities, in addition to the fact that official investigation work in the case of floor collection must be accompanied by crime prevention policies.

AMLO indicated that in the Comarca Lagunera region (Coahuila and Durango) there is the “La Laguna Special Command” security body, a security model that has private participation and is coordinated by state and private entities.
